18th APRIL 2008: EUGENE MANX ONLINE The exciting adventure story Eugene Manx, from the pages of the Red, White & Blue, can now be read on the website, for free! This allows you to get an idea of the sort of thrilling adventure stories published in every issue. Production of issue 3 is underway and the paper should revert to 24 pages for this number, and introduce some new features, including an editors' page with the news of upcoming stories and fascinating items of interest gathered from around the world. Another new feature will be Sexton Blake's case files, a page with the great detective's own reminisces of some of his greatest cases. The first one will recount The Case of the Naval Manoeuvres, originally published in the Union Jack in August 1908! It sees our hero sent to watch over the British fleet as they practice for a war with Germany that it was hoped, in vain, would never come. But Blake isn't the only one watching... and the identity of one of the other men involved will astound you! |

Crystal Knights Comics and all related names, stories and content (excl Sexton Blake) are copyright Michael Martin / The Crystal Knights 2007 - 2057 (EU law not recognised!)
Copyright note about Sexton Blake: The character was first created by Harry Blyth / Hal Meredith in 1893. He later passed away in 1898 according to some sources. While the copyright of the character was sold to Amalgamated Press Ltd when the first story was published, the character has been out of the "public eye" since the late 1960's, and no new stories have been published by the companies that grew out of AP. Several "fan stories" have appeared in print, for instance two in the Sherlock Holmes Gazette in 2000, and an American "pulp" anthology in 2005 (
sources). The Sexton Blake stories in The Red, White & Blue are intended to be viewed as fan-works of this believed-to-be public domain character. However all profits from RWB will be paid to the real copyright holder, should such a thing still exist and wish to be compensated.
